Here is a photo of my most prized possessions from the San Diego Comic Con:




He has the prettiest signature! My fiance got me the Inara comic autograph from a random Joss appearance at the Browncoats booth while I was up watching Brian K. Vaughan's panel (who is hilarious, btw, and signed my Ex Machina #1 and Y: The Last Man #23- my favorite cover!). The post card was from the Serenity movie screening, it's what the poster was going to look like. I like the final poster image, although I think River looks more badass in this one. So after we saw the movie my fiance and I were lurking in the lobby- me in a dazed stupor since I'd just seen SERENITY- when we saw Joss talking to some Universal people (I assume, it was business talk)... we went over because there was no way I was going to miss the oppertunity to meet him, and eventually a bunch of other people gathered behind us, and Joss looked up and was like "Wow... um".. then signed stuff for us.

I also met and got autographs from Ron Glass (Book) and Adam Baldwin (Jayne) - Ron Glass signed mine with "Keep flying!" and my fiance's with "Stay shiny!" hehe... and we had Adam Baldwin sign both of ours "The hero of Canton, the man we call Jayne". I was really, really hoping to meet Sean Maher (Simon) and possibly kidnap him, but aside from Ron Glass and Adam Baldwin no one else was scheduled for signing. Of course, when I came home Joss had posted in a message board saying they didn't have enough time to sign, so I'm wondering where exactly they were! I don't understand why the Comic Con doesn't have these guys, or for instance Brian K. Vaughan who was one of their "special guests", do a group signing up in the autograph area.

Anyway, everyone make sure to see Serenity when it comes out in September. And if you've never seen the series it's based off of, Firefly, you need to do that right away! The Sci Fi Channel is showing it every Friday night before Stargate (7 pm for me).. and this week's episode will be Bushwhacked, the third one. OR you can get the dvd box set which is so worth whatever you have to pay for it. Retail stores like Best Buy have hiked the price, but Deep Discount DVD has it for $30 with free shipping - check it out. [link]
